Timber processing perspectives from the Russian viewpoint24 September/ 2021
On 28 September, the largest timber industry trade magazine in Russia, LesPromInform, will hold a session "Timber processing perspectives from the Russian viewpoint" on the perspectives of timber processing from the viewpoint of the Russian timber sector: how the Russian and global wood industry influence each other in the post-Covid era.
The session will be held in the framework of Wood Industry Summit, an online conference held on 27-28 September 2021 by LIGNA, one of the largest global timber industry exhibitions.
Alexey Beschastnov, Senior Manager at StepChange Consulting, will talk on the forest industry rollercoaster in the pandemic, which ways it affected Russia and what positions the country's wood business occupies now.
Eugene Lopatin, Senior Researcher, Natural Resources Institute Finland (Luke), will focus on the digital transformation of the Russian forest sector, carbon credit agenda winning over industry's attention and how those two are interrelated.
The session will start at 16.30 CET (17.30 Moscow time) and will be attended by experts and decision makers from Europe and Russia.
